Default rebuilding my t3/t4.....

so heres the scoop,

i drive 20 miles to work everyday, around down putsing, i see nothing out of the exhaust, but as soon as i start spooling i see blue smoke out of the exhaust, i know the motor is fine because its not doing it all the time, my oil level was going down too...

its a t3/t4 .57 trim, oil restrictor

so i decided to rebuild my turbo AGAIN, i did it last summer too

well i took the turbo out of the car and found what you see in the first picture, the picture is veiwed from the bottom of the turbo, coming out between the exhaust housing and middle section

so i was glad that i atleast had something,

so i went further and as you can see in the second pic, oil coated the inside of the disc, now my first question is, it had alot of what appeared to be metal shavings in it, but they arent magnetic, is it because of the burnt oil??

as you can see in the third pic the compressor side was fine

now my question is, what would cause the oil to seap out?

do i not have my oil restricor turned down enough? i still havent found a place that says how much its supposed to be turned, or how much oil feed im supposed to let in the turbo...

any help would be appreciated

Did you have the turbo professionally rebuilt? If not, I would think about getting that done so they can balance the shaft.

hmmm.... I don't know man.. I would try and search around... I don't know where you live. Many shops allow you to ship your turbo to them, have it rebuilt and shipped back to you.

Blouch Turbo Inc. - Choose Blouch Turbo for your upgrade and rebuild needs

Mike and his guys are located in central PA (don't know the name of the little town, sorry) and have always done nice work for me.
