Default Rebuild Turbo. DIY ?

I need to rebuild the t3 I just recently put on the d15.
Its blowing plenty of oil out into my charge pipes.

I dont want to spend a couple hundred to pay someone to do itif I can do it myself.

Any special tools required ?
Easy as cake ?
What should I look for in a rebuild kit ?
How much should I spend ?
How long will it take ?
And are all rebuild kits identical for different size t3's ?

I searched here under, turbo rebuild, rebuild kit, rebuild.
Didnt get anything that would help me.

Thanks for the help.

I dunno, I prefer not to touch this stuff without getting it rebalanced afterwards.

i just did my rebuild last week.
here's my breakdown:

86 dollars (CDN) for the parts
-bearings (2)
-snap rings (4)
-staggered gap piston ring (1)
-O-ring (1)
-various gaskets (rubber and metal)

then your gonna need to get it balanced. and if your shaft is run out, then you will need a new shaft, roughly 220 (CDN)

balancing is around 85 dollars

getting those snap rings in/out are a pain in the ***. so either buy a snap ring tool. or try and use another method.

I'd just buy a rebuild cartridge from customcoach for $175

What kind of oil lines are you running? Is your drain big enough? No kinks? Is this that Nissan T3?

I got a new center section off Egay for $84 shipped.

I did the same thing with a set I bought from Checker auto parts. Those things were so shitty. I ended up throwing them and they fell to pieces.
