quick turbo question

if i bought a turbo with an internal wastegate, what modifications would be needed if i planned on using an external one? Also what are the disadvatages to doing this.

you just need the exhaust flange that blocks the hole on the main housing.

I have a few laser cut stainless steel ones available for some t3's. You would have to give me measurements since there are a couple different types. $20 shipped anywhere in the lower 48.
