Default where to put oil cooler?

one of my friends just gave me his factory oil cooler from his rx-7, how do i run this for best cooling? my idea was to run it after the turbo, going from the return line off the turbo (1/2") into the inlet for the oil cooler, then from there back to a fitting brazed into the oil pan. are there any gravity feed problems for doing this? i'll probably mount it like a front mount, i'm using a side mount rx-7 intercooler (the turboII one). would this cause any significant oil pressure droppage? my other idea was to mount it from the feed line to the turbo (1/4"), from a T on the oil pressure sensor to the oil cooler, then from there to the oil inlet on the turbo. it's a 14b, water/oil cooled. do i really need the oil cooler running 8-10psi?

Don't really need it, but it can't hurt

The first Idea WONT work, You'll smoke like hell

Second, Might work (anyone?)

Best idea is to not be cheap and buy a block adaptor.
That's what I'm doing(I ran a 14b @8psi all summer w/no cooler and probs)

thats what my dyno guy told me too... he's worked with boosted hondas for years and has a vw golf that runs 9's in the quarter... so i really trust his opinion. anybody want a oil cooler off a rx-7? i'd let it go for cheap. lol.

If you are worried about heat, it's WAY easier to just run coolant through the turbo. If you are already doing this, there is no reason to get an oil cooler. (there is really no reason to do it even if you aren't running coolant, but it would look cool)

i am running oil/water on the 14b, i just thought a lil extra insurance couldn't hurt. yeah that's it in my avatar (not hooked up lol i'm such a ricer). i'm gonna ditch it, anybody wants to give me $30 for it they can have it (it was free to me from a friend but i spent a lot of time polishing it). i think it'd look pretty sweet top-mounted like the ones from the wrx'es. right behind the intake manifold.

you'd want a sandwich adapter between the oil filter.
they have kits you can get.
look how b&m has their honda/acura oil coolers.
if the lines are too big, the oil pressure will drop.

I have a sandwich adapter and am running a line to the front of the car where the cooler is mounted then on the return line (which of course runs back to the sandwich adapter) I have a "tee" fitting which feeds the turbo.
