Question about Turboing D16 from AV1 (not minez)
My buddy has an old *** integra 87, with the DOHC non Vtec D16 in, which from what we read is a solid engine.
His intention is dropping that engine in his 91 DX hatch(immaculate) which has a b15 if im not mistaken...
Questions, what to do in order to turbo the d16, or what would you guys recommend on an avergae budget for a proper reliable turbo setup. His goal is pushing over 200whp..
what are the pro's and con's of the d16 and the b15 which takes boost best, and which can take most boost...
Anything you got is welcome...

A bit of researce will give you a wealth of information. That zc is semi popular...in the old days. But...that b15...Must be new! You meant a d16. All great motors with pros and cons. It all depends on whats available to you...how much you want to spend...and how much power you want to blow!

My buddy has both engines and both cars Av6 and the 91 hatch (dx), he has about 3000$ to put and he wants over 200whp
I was told the d16 is one of the most solid blocks Honda did... And we were checking out some prices and specs... k20a came to mind, k24 for raw power (there is a flipped over TSX at the local pick'n'pull) so many options available!!!
Again not my car, just gathering a bit of info for my buddy.

Most of the hits come back as "what turbo to use for what hp". Everything else for your turbo build you can find in the sticky at the top of the forum section. Injectors depend on your hp goal.. and for ***** sake, get real engine management, not a FMU.

Btw, on my teg, b18b w/ 14b, I used dsm 450cc inj with honda (accord?) resistor box @ 16psi. Those should be plenty big enuff for a d series. 10 lbs will turn you out.

What do you mean by 10psi will turn me out? Im running 18-22 on my brick
