question about boost?
Alright, i was going to buy a Mitsu 9b turbo this week. i thought it would be decent starting point for a stock d16a6 daily driver...
the question i have is how much hp should i get from a 9b turbo running 8-10 psi with a DSM SMIC, DSM BOV, HF manifold...
Will it be more that 40hp?
PS. how is boost from one turbo different from boost on another turbo? I.E. how would 10 psi from a 9b be different from 10psi from a T28?

the difference is in CFM, the larger turbo will push MORE air at the same boost. think of balloons, if you have one balloon that is 2" in diameter and one that is 5" in diameter and pressurized them both with air to say 8psi, the 5" one would take more volume of air to get the same pressure.
IMO (and most other people's) a 9b is way too small a turbo for our application. you're better suited with a 14b, t25, or small t3
