Default question on 14b adapter plate and flanges

when using the adapter plate to mount the hf to your 14b do you have to use the hf manifold oem gasket on the top part and the 14b factory gasket on the bottom of it?

Yea those are the right gaskets, but when you go to mount your 14b to the manifold your going to notice that you can only get 3 bolts in the turbo, and trust me from experience, 3 bolts causes major exhaust leakage, and a horrible boost lag, so i welded the backside of my turbo to the plate, or you could countersink a bolt in there, but whatever way you wish to do is up to you just dont go with out it, youll be tearing it down in no time. -Ben
