Default PVC/ABS as charge piping?

anyone do this? Is there a danger of melting anything if you do this?

It'd definitely be cheap and easy to do.

people have done it, it works, the pipe coming right off the turbo would be the hottest. i have a 90° abs bend coming off my turbo and it has been fine, since this is the hottest the air would be, i'd say go for it.

Truck radiator hose and standard exhaust bends would be just as cheap and probably flow better too, plus the hose would give you a little flex that you can't get with the PVC tubing. Just another alternative for you to think about.

i dont see any problem at all about running pvc pipe after the intercooler. hopefully air temps will be a little cooler, but from the turbo to the intercooler id use exhaust piping

all you're gonna save with the pvc pipe will be $40 or less. the pvc pipe will work but why go thru that trouble if you can just do it with exhaust tubing? if you're short on money or something wait a couple weeks til you get paid or something. it took me 1year and 3 months to start on my turbo project cause i was short on money back then.

$40 is a lot...and PVC is much lighter...so you save some weight also.

there's just something about using pvc for charge pipes that doesn't sound right to me. but if it works i'd say go for it. i'd spray paint the pvc though don't want your charge pipes looking like plumbing.lol please post pics. i'm sure the pvc charge pipes will be easier to build with more common tools that just about everyone has.

The only downside to PVC is that after a while of heat it begins to sag. Is this a reason to not use it...no. Go for it, ghettoness is next to godliness. And plus it makes it look extra bad for the person you just beat.
