Project Camry- Turbo Buildup- Lotta Pics
About 3-4 months ago I started planning my turbo setup for my 1994 V6 Toyota Camry. The car is an automatic but after I whip around with the turbo for a while i'm going to be doing a 5-spd swap.
Anyway, while looking for parts and figuring out how i'm going to do everything a friend passed this site along and I was amazed at the wealth of info!
The project is nearing completion and I'm still working on some odds and ends but it should be ready to go within the next 2 weeks. We are doing the piping tomorrow and from there we will install water injection and start installing oil lines and fuel lines.
The car is going to start boosting around 3-4 PSI until I do the tranny swap and get my forged internals. After that ill raise the boost up a bit and see how far I can go.
If you guys have anywhere else I can look for information on the topic below or have any experience please do chime in.
1. Mounting 2 extra injectors onto charge pipe, basically how to secure and seal them properly. I saw greddy has a pipe with injector holders already made but I'm not sure if any old injectors will work. I have supra injectors from a 7mgte (440cc)
Ok well it seems thats all I can remember for now. anyway... onto the parts list!

Yea, I forgot to mention this is also my daily driver so I tried to take as many safety precautions as possible. After reading about all the good things water injection has to offer i decided to go for it. Plus when i'm ready to boost higher i will have all that in place already.
I was going with the greddy emanage becuase the guy who is helping me tune works with it on all his cars.
Never heard of megasquirt tho. i shall look into it.

Atticus:
I'm hoping to be done within the next 2 weeks if all goes according to plan. I pretty much have all the major parts. The rest will be plug and play.. sorta.
I found one or two coupes far from me. I got to thinking after a while though I'll just keep the camry for as long as it will take me and butcher it up and learn as much as I can. After this I plan to go for a GS300 or SC300... and if anything an 85-90 supra.
So the camry is a learning experience for me.
