Default Problems running on blue box?

I'm planning to buy a used greddy kit with a type 31 IC and HKS SSQ. Planning on just running stock boost for a while. Do I need 2 degree colder spark plugs with my timing retarded if I plan to run it at stock boost? Also, will my engine eventually break apart because i'm running rich with the greddy blue box?

I'm worried about reliability over function.

Thanks yall.

I am running the greddy kit with no IC at 8psi on the blue box and stock plugs and everything has been fine (about 1000 miles). My IC is arriving today though, and I do plan on switching out my plugs just to keep things safer. I ran really rich at 5.5psi, so bad that you could smell gas coming out of the exhaust. After I turned it up to 8 that has subsided a bit. My idle and off boost driveability is just like stock. If you are really worried about the blue box dump it on egay for 40 bucks and invest in the hack.

Are you talkin about the AFC hack? I might plan to get the vortech 12:1 FMU along with a fuel pump. Would this be a more reliable setup as oppose to the bluebox setup?
