Default probe I-beams

Now let me start out by saying that I do understand that generally H-beams will hold more power than I-beams and that the price is not much different. But... Say I wanted a turbo D16 civic, what if I did a full on ghetto job by just pulling the head and the oilpan and replacing the rods and pistons with forged ones. That'd save me downtime and headaches. Now the problem is that the block needs to be notched for H-beams. I-beams don't handle as much power but I'm only looking at 250ish safely. Opinions?

If you're sure they're a bolt in part, and you don't want to pull the engine, why not? Just make sure your parts will handle you goals and you'll be fine in terms of strength.

If you want to stay under the 300hp mark on a d-series, use LS rods and have them resized and put some ARP rod bolts on 'em. Much cheaper alternative.

A good idea if you or a machine shop in the area can do the job for you.

I currently use TT I-beams in my build, i'm pretty sure you will have to knotch the block with the Probes.
