Not to steal your post, but Iam haveing the same problem on my h23, I did a compression test and I got 175 175 115 105, so I Pulled the head and I put gas in all four cylinders and it took and hour for it to move threw the cylinders. I didn't see any burn marks on the head gasket, some of head bolts were hard as hell to break loose while others were very easy. does it sound like rings or headgsket becasue the head was not torqued down right? thanks

I'd like to see you remove a piston from the top of the block without touching the bottom end. I'd pay good ------- money to see that happen. Oh yeah, BTW, I put pistons in from the bottom on my bike because that is THE ONLY WAY. One piece rods that are pressed between the crank. So :P .

i did a leak down test today, #4 cyclinder fot 55% leak. instead of pulling out just the pistons. i pulled out the engine and trans. i'm gonna take the engine apart tomorrow. if is only my #4 pistons rings are damage, then i will send to to machine shop to lets them clean out my enigne. i'm thinking of gettng my engine sleeve, since my engine is out. i have took pixs of it, but i don't know how to post it up. email me if u want to see it

You can do rebuilds right in the car if ya want... as long as the cylinders are not fucked. Take the head off, drop the pan and pop the pistons out THROUGH THE TOP :P

lol, yeah but he asked if he could do it JUST by taking the head off. Which you can't. :P

got my engine apart today. found #4 piston with little craks on the side by the piston rings. #3 pistons with big cracks on the side, #2 piston ring got snap in half, and #1 piston is ok. found out the my car timing was advance.
