Default Is it possible to reverse the oil lines?

Hey guys question here....

Turboing my 2000 Toyota Celica GT and there is absolutely no room to work with on that engine when it comes to turboing it

My question is... If all the fittings are replaced with the proper size adjusters, is it possible to make your drain your feed and your feed your drain ON the turbo itself? I understand the oil return should be on the top and then uses gravity to exit the bottom, correct? With my custom project this puts the feed on the bottom and the return on the top. So, as I said, if I adjust the inlets on the turbo itself to be the proper size, can the drain be the feed and the feed the return ON the turbo?

Thanks guys!!!

O and the turbo is a TD04 and I am not sure if the middle section can be rotated, thanks!

No. The drain is physically a much larger opening than the feed. If you reverse them, you're likely to have problems getting all that oil out of there.
Could you reverse them with machine work? Hmm.. maybe, but I'd have to look at the way oil flows to the bearings and I suspect it's very unlikely that you can get away with that... The center sections are pretty symetrical, what problem are you having specifically?
I'm sure people of turbo'd a Celica before.. You'll just have to get creative with the feed plumbing if everything else fits.. The drain.. well, as it's gravity fed, so the options for orientation are limited.

The drains are designed for gravity.. it is important enough that if you have the center section at too much of an angle, off vertical, it wont work properly
