Default Please clear this up: Can PVC be used?

Hey guys, I'm planning my turbo setup and I want to know if you can use PVC piping for the charge pipes. Some people tell me it will melt, others say it works fine. Can someone clear this up for me? Anyone here tried to before?

Also, I'm a noob, what's an O2 housing?

BTW, I tried to search and didn't get good results.
Thanks.

use ABS its much more heat resistant and does the job fine.

o2 housing?

thats where your o2 sensor goes.. not really a housing so much as a manifold, or downpipe

If PVC melts, it will burn harmful fumes into your engine, and your engine bay. So I wouldnt recommend it. As far as ABS plastic, that black ----? I have no idea, personally I wouldnt even ---- around with plastic in my engine bay. Exhaust pipe & rubber hoses work just fine.

The O2 housing is the first part that leads off the exhaust housing. Its normally apart of the downpipe.
