i see you posted that you just flipped the headers around.

i was looking into a setuup like this for a lt1 in a 79 fbody. would the same work for me?? my concern was that the exhaust ports on the lt1 heads are d shaped, would flipping the exhaust manifolds work for my set up?

i dont think it wil cause they are realy long headers

93 formula-Not sure. If the holes in the headers are round, it would work. You need to make sure that the header fits the head symetrically. On the mustang, there is a little offset. It will seal but the headers overlap the hole on one side. I just elongated the holes on my headers so it will line up perfectly. Now when I put the motor back in, the turbos will be moved about 1/4 inch. Hopefully that will not cause trouble.

thanks for your reply. i found out that sbc headers flipped will work. now i gotta figure out which ones work the best and clearance issues, dont want the turbos sticking out of the hood, LOL

With a sbc, you should have a ton of things to choose from. That thing will be a torque-monster. When you start setting it up, post up some pics!
