yeah thats just a thin little plate that the spring pushes on, I think I used a channel-Lock's and a bench vise to get mine to split in 2 not to tight that you crush it.

Some race cars run the crankcase vent to the exhaust and when done properly it actually creates a vacuum, might mess with an 02 sensor though

Yeah ive seen that too and supposedly it works great. I wouldnt re route the pcv back into the intake on a boosted car, it severely lowers the octane rating of the air/fuel coming into the engine and makes detonation more likely. h

Thats why I took a empty quart of oil, cut three holes; two on the side, one on the top, shoved a nice k&n into the top, and the hose from my pcv into one hole, and the one from my crank case in the other, shove it right next to the battery, hood just fits... Quart of oil catch can, change every 3000 miles or with oil change, FTMFW.

Heh, I used Gatorade 20oz bottles. I tried soda bottles first but the clear plastic walls are too thin to tap with the brass fittings. Gatorade bottles work nicely. I put 1 fitting in the cap with the filter and another fitting just under where the cap screws in on the side for the hose. It works I guess, I just didn't put any baffling in it.
