what kind of black spray did you use? just your regular black spray paint in a can?
I talked with a guy at a auto repair supply shop. I showed him what was to be painted and that I had previous problems with prep and overall results. I ended up with stuff called 'trim black' made by SEM. I was told that it sticks to plastics and just about anything well. For prep, I degreased very well after stripping, rinsed well, then sprayed down with water/white vinegar. Let dry and painted.
I was told that the vinegar would do a mild 'etch' on the aluminum to allow the paint to adhere better. Anyways, it looks good. If it turns out to blow *** I'll post again.
