Ok heres the low down on water AND oil cooling.
I just finished my install but ran only oil (naturaly) as I hadnt yet picked up the coolant lines. I ran it on just oil for 3 days. I have a REAL temp guage that reads numbers.
Keep in mind I live in FL where it gets very warm and humid. I also installed a 2" core aluminum radiator in anticipation for increased water temps along with a 160º thermostat. Hell yes it went up...way up. I drive 40 miles one way and much of it on the highway so this was very good testing on the honda cooling system. My temps at 80+mph in the heat of the day were around 210-215º oil cooled only. Non turboed my car usualy runs in the 175-180 range.
2 days ago I ran my coolant line. Nice big 5/8" lines from the back of the intake manifold. Temps dropped, yes you read that right, DROPPED 15º under heavy load. Operating temps using water AND oil sit around 190-195 cruising at 80+mph and creep to 200-210 on a long boosted pull through several gears. At idle in traffic it drops even lower down to 175-180.
So, if you have a choice get one that is both oil and water cooled. It not only prolongs the life of the turbo but it infact lowers your temps. You have to keep in mind the coolant is not just cooling the turbo, it cools the housing that the oil passes through so naturaly the oil gets cooled as well. On just an oil turbo that super HOT oil gets back into your engine with no cooling what so ever and the overall result is higher coolant/engine temps. I feel that the cooling system CAN handle the extra cooling of the turbo with just a thermostat as long as you have a dual core radiator. I bought a radiator because my car is a CX with the tiny single core 5/8" thick radiator.

Sorry, I have a hard time believing that adding a glowing red hot turbo into your cooling system will lower your coolant temperature. That's like saying you bypassed your radiator and it helped to lower engine temperature.......

I ran mine between the block/head and the TB and noticed no signifigcant changes either way. If you guys want to try it, it's there. If you do it and it doesn't work out, it's super easy to switch back. But from my standpoint, I'd rather buy $40 in cooling lines than have to replace my turbo... There's no noticable temp changes at the dash either so I have to assume my engine is happy and healthy...

I don't know that the decrease in temp is possible, but i am nost saying it CANT happen.
As with most turbo cars that have problems when you add the turbo, it is usually a problem that you had already, that was shown b/c of the turbo.
For example, switching to a half radiator and complaining that you don't get the same cooling, well no kidding.
If you left the cooling system stock, the turbo wouldn't make a dent in your cooling numbers.

I'm done with running coolant lines to the turbo. Maybe if I had an upgraded coolant system I would. But to me its kinda like having the coolant run through a flame thrower before it gets to the motor

Oh yeah, BTW, there hasn't been a factory car with a turbo that hasn't run coolant to the turbo built in almost 20 years! Whatever! do what you want, if it works for you, yippie!! I'm done arguing about this!
