Default Oil return thoughts

2 things
1) Whats the cheapest oil return line you nigs use? I have some 1/2" ID goodyear hydraulic hose that I want to use but I should probably buy something for back up.

2) If you have a top mount with turbo 30" above the oil pan, do you still need to drain the oil below the oil level?

I would never have thought about draining below the oil level until I saw some bf.c top mount turbo guys running drains through the oil pan drain bolt with no issues. Argument was, the oil would not back up in the hose much beyond the level of the oil in the pan.

Old air compressor hose works wonderful too. The few psi of pressure the return sees isn't hard to contain. Now feed is something joo wanna get the bawler partz for.
