Default Oil PSI correct....now I have hesitation and stalling

I have been working for days to get the oil PSI's within a good operating range..Finally I got it dialed in but.....another problem has popped up.

When driving the car gets to about 3000RPM's and then begins to hesitate and loses power severly. Every other press the throttle will take response but then the car loses power and stalls.

The plugs are all gapped correctly and are receiving spark. They are dry and are irridiums so we are getting some colder ones but this doesnt seem like the problem.

The fuel pump is pressurizing the fuel rail, and when I apply a ground signal to the power on each injector they all spray.

Could the injectors be fouled?

Also, we have an oil leak from around the exhaust side of the turbo. White smoke from the tail. Could the O2 sensor be an issue?

Get back to me....PLEASE HELP ME TROUBLE SHOOT THIS!!!

Thanks, Eric

White smoke? Hmmm.....I hope it's not a head gasket.

Have you tried to change the 02? My car freaked out when the 02 went bad. Ran like ---- and smelled like ----.

at first I thought of a head gasket, after all, the two signs of a blown headgasket are white smoke and water out of the exhaust. And we had both. But, when the head gasket goes the coolant system will have combustion in it and we did the chemical test and that checked out to be good. In addition to that, the car never overheated according to our fluid temerature sensor and the fans are all correctly activated at programed temp level.

There is alot of how to install links on this site but lets see which of you can pitch in with some good trouble shooting advice.

If you can think of any fuel related problems, let me know. Also, any O2 problems you all have had I am all ears. DR.BOOST, feel free to spill the beans on ANYTHING that remotly deals with this problem.

-White smoke
-bad hesitation at and beyond 3000rpm's
-stalling after or during warm up drive
-oil leak from area where exhaust turbine housing attaches to center unit with oil feed and drain.
-possible O2 fouling

get back to me...Eric

If you have water coming out of the exhaust I would say it is the head gasket. Unless you are running a water cooled turbo and somehow the housing cracked and let water in to the charge system there would be no other explanation for water coming out of the exhaust and white smoke. Are you running a cat?

What about just very rough idle...Any ideas on that? how to smooth out a rough idle? if you don't have any ideas, then I will be back with more info tomorrow for you. I am going to check the fuel pressure, o2 sensor, injector spark, timing, fuel delivery units and other items.

I'LL BE BACK!!!!

in the mean time feel free to toss out ideas... Also, there is not a catalytic converter on this car.

get back to me ...

My friend had the same problem, LOTS of white smoke coming out of exhaust and oil dripping from turbo exhaust housing. Turns out his oil drain tube was too small and it didnt drain properly. Ended up blowing the turbo seals.

oil drain should be atleast 1/2"ID and facing down from the turbo, ,then straight to oil pan.
