oil in exhasust?
I have a civic hatch b18c boosted. it's been boosted 7psi for a few months no problems i installed a catch can and it filled right up ( I forgot to drain it ) after that i noticed a sludge oil and water mix in my exhaust tip. I did a leak down and a compression check everythings good. Someone told me it could be the turbo seals? if so how do i check ?
compression checked out ok! I was thinking blow by? the carch can was over filled I havent drained it in months it holds mayby three ounces lol (small) I know. car runs fine and the whether is really cold here -21 c mayby my oill visocity? I am using 10w40 syn?
I hope so. No blue smoke no nothing I also do alot of short trips! I was also told mayby get an oil restrictor the gauge reads 60 psi when warm and driving and 20 at idle what do u guys think . sorry for all the questions the search button is not working!
enmtp the catch can more often there is nothing wrong the weather is cold this is the major reason why i see a alot of cars come in to the shop like this during the winter just make sure you stay up on the oil changes 2k if you do a lot of short trips
yeah I will do that do u think its safe to run engine flush befor I dump the oil ( engine flush is a liquid substance that removes oil gunk from the engine u put it in the engine oil filler and run it for 15 minutes and then dump the oil. also what could i clean the inside of my exhaust wiith. I noticed it got louder ever since mayby coated with the sludge ?
