just curious how long do you think my stock clutch whitch is practicly new (150 miles) will last with my setup that is 8 psi... i dont know how much hp it will be making yet, well not till next week . and when i do need to get a new one, in your personal experiences whitch aftermarket clutch is best bang for the buck?

it wont be too bad. probly a few months. mine holds fine. i've had the car for two years, and haven't changed the clutch.

it slips a little when the car is cold, but other than that, holds like a champ

It depends on how hard you beat on it.I'm still running my stock clutch with 150k, 10k boosted. It has seen better days though.

basemap with 450s
open downpipe
5-8 psi
and a bad boost leak

 

well thats nice to know i had the impression that it will slip like hell... damn i hate it when people dont know what there talking about but act like they do

 

its all in the way you drive, if youre semi agressive youll probably nuke it in 2 weeks... if youre gentle like some of these guys you can get away with a stocker for some time. There is much more fun to be had on an aftermarket clutch though

 

dude, ---- that i didnt put all this time/money to drive like a damn pansey!! i guess ill try it out with the stock one first

what kind of brand is OK for the money?

 

the clutch specialties 6 puck that many people have here seems to be one kick *** clutch. Having driven cars with them and having installed them, its a pretty decent clutch. I personally run a clutchnet... but thats my accord. I cant remember how much the clutch specialties one is... i think like $250 ish...
