Default octane

Hi,

living in France, I am planning to turbocharge my civic hatchback EX 1.6 SOHC (D16Y year 97
I will use VAFC Hack with 440 cc
in France, we use unleaded fuel 95 or 98
I heard that you use not the same fuel ?
Is it OK for my fuel management with VAFC hack, even if the quality of fuel is not the same ?

thanks for yours reply
