obd1 b16 turbo in an ef tuning/tuner problems
okay so my friend built a car for this navy guy, b16a, rebuilt, converted to obd1, itr cams, blox im, blox log manifold, .63 trim ebay turbo, percision 780 injectors, walbro etc
my friend finished up the car about a week ago, and the owner took it down about an hour an a half south, on a trailer to get it tuned.
so i guess the tuner was doing a "break in" tune, with the wastegate running 0 psi, they were driving for about 20-30 min, when the ecu lost power, and the car wouldnt start
they checked the fuses under the hood and couldnt figure out what the problem was, s the tuner refused to touch anything else on the car becuase he didnt build it
so the guy towed all the way back here, and my friend who built the car is in the navy and wont be back for another week
i went over to his house, checked all the fuses under the dash, and found that the one for the alternator solenoid was blown, changed it, and then the car starts up but bogs very badly and dies immediatley, compression is good, spark on all cylinders
the guy who owns the car didnt know much about the ecu, so i called the tuner who was a fucktard and took 5 minutes to remember the car that he tuned two days ago, cause he tunes oh so many cars, ------- ******
he told me that the ecu was chipped for the 780s etc. and should run the car fine, i put a virgin p28 in the car just to see if anything would be different, and the car started up and ran for a little bit longer then with the chipped in there
so i was wondering if any other problems could cause the car to run like this, the tuner told me that if whatever the electrical problem is fixed, then the car should run good, but IDK
