honestly i think this guy is an asshat, but spenser, how much time have you spent at the dyno, how may dyno's have you been to, how many tuners have you personally been around while tuning a car? and where do they all place the sensor? surely not in the stock o2 housing ;) if someone asked me to tune their car and all they had was a bung on the stock housing, i'd say no, and i have before. i'm not gonna chance ruining my sensor, and no matter what (you probably dug up on the zeitronix site since your so loyal), everone knows the most accurate afr's are taken at least a foot from the turbine outlet, not 2 inches away ::)

lol, ---- zeitronix, all I"m trying to say is that as long as the temps don't go above 800c your readings will not be totally off. There is no set distance from the turbo, head, combustion chamber, or exhaust port, that the unit should be placed. as long as it stays below 800, your readings wont be off, so as I see it, the closer the better. I run my o2 sensor in my downpipe and haven't seen any temps higher then 800c

egt's don't affect afr's directly ;)

so basically, don't run it in the dsm o2 housing. Either run it in the stock location(right in front of the cat) or get a o2 bung in the downpipe specifically for the wideband

i know they don't, but i've had my egt guage installed right beside my LSU, and haven't seen any 800c temps.

wow, that's real smart ::) so what do you use your egt for, as a thermometer for your precious 30 dollar bosch sensor? why the ---- would you want to read egt's after the turbo? you have some special formula that no one knows about, to calculate your actual egt's coming out of the engine, or you just want to see how much your turbo acts as an intercooler for your exhaust gases ::) the more you talk, the dumber you sound.
