Default not sure where this goes-but turboing a fresh lsvtec?

i wasnt sure if this would go in the hydrid section or here.... i just built myself an lsvtec, je pistons/rings, eagle rods, my question is, how long before i can boost it? i mean i dont want to try to fab a stock exhaust manifold up to this test pipe i have on my exhaust.... i have an external tial knock off from ssautoshit, can i just lower my boost pressure some how? im not running a boost controller, anyone got some info? my turbo kit is on and installed with a t3/t4 57 trim and a big *** front mount, and i know its not good for the turbo if i just take off one side of my IC piping so im not boosting right?

really? i talked to a couple people today and they said its best just to let the rings seat first before you throw boost at it, but then im thinking, if you reubild some sotck turbo/supercharged car, your throwing boost at it anyway right? or no

there is sooooo much debate on how to break in a engine its not even funny. Haynes says to take it easy. everyone who does performance says break it in hard. On the dyno or on a track or a long stretch of road you dont have to worry about people. There are guides you can go by if your gonna break it in hard, and if you go hard then go with the turbo. They say you will get peak performace out of your system if you break it in hard. because when your engine rings seat you will get maximum compression in your cylinders, which is what it comes down to for power output.

I have followed the street version of this on my d16z6 turbo.. my b18 turbo.. and my h22 turbo which i currently have. None of which have blown, leaked, had blowby. so good luck with whatever you chose
