they were than they made it like it is now to save the cost. im hoping i can flip it over to do a top mount and do some tinkering. im not a total noob i had a 1st gen talon awd with a 4g63 big 16g man,turbo and astro dump but it got totaled out street racing. im just stumped on the whole tuning. a burnt chip is aroung $600 and i want to try out megasquirt. i know the basics how to hook everything up what stuff does new to the external WG though. i need to figure out injecters,tuning for the ignition/fuel. i have all i need but dont want to put it in until i figure out this stuff

 

there's a couple others with turbo bimmers on here, i havent found much as far as cheap tuning software for them though. i've been lookin into a e36 m3 for a while, just not sure about megasquirt .

Get in touch with Urinemachine. He has the cleanest boosted BMW in the universe. Ichbinsobose has a boosted bimmer as well, but he's also a dirty russian who'd rather be molestin' young girls than helping out some noob.

 

that manifold looks like a PAIN IN THE *** to unbolt where talking here 24 of them.. hopefully they are easy to get to..

ya dude just cut into the mani and route a pipe to a good place and mount your WG there and then make a dump tube external or back into the exhaust.. 944's have a external gate under the car..

You could attach the actuator to the frame somewhere and extend the bolt going to the turbo like this.

ya, there turbo is also on the opposite side from the exhaust mani, just under the intake mani

 

Thets see here as of right now i have TWO stainless steel full length headers, stock the engine has TWO cast manifold so the sink trap wont work ******
