Default No intercooler ok temporarly?

Ok, so i was going to modify my dsm smic into a fmic, but its not really worth the time. MOre than half the fins are bent and there is a bunch of sludge/metal shards inside the damn thing.

so would it be ok to run for say, a month w/o an intercooler @4 psi? Of course, my tune is pritty consertive, a pm6 with 450cc injectors on a d16a1. the turbo is a k26, with a log manifold and external w/g. Not sure any of that matters but there you go anyways.

Thanks for the help

i ran 15 psi with no ic my ringlands went a few weeks later. i didnt add fuel to account for the extra psi. so that might have been the cause :P

Why not just wait until you have everything?

well i based my pipeing around the fmic i was going to use, so basically its already made for a fmic. all i did was take and put a straight pipe in place. and in order to put in a larger fmic i would just have to cut one of the charge pipes shorter.

why not wait? well i have been waiting for a long *** time just to be held up because i dont have a single part. on top of that, the w/g is set to only 4 psi, and until i buy or build a boost controller im restricted to that. so im not loosing out any way.

yea its nothin in most cars.... but mine happens to weigh 1700 lbs (86 crx hf w/ d16a1 swap) with about 130 hp i may break 13's. I think 4 psi will get that. Imagine 10 psi and 200whp
