No boost

Re:No boost
jeffsciv23 - Let me know if you fix this, since we've got the same problem.
I'm probably throwing every possible code there is. My engine light has been on for awhile. I'm gonna have it checked at Autozone tomorrow I think.
I think the wastegate is ok. Why would a bad wastegate make it misfire like it is?
The turbo is a T3, the wastegate is TiAL .38mm.

Re:No boost
Strange. Yeah, mine boggs too...then i missfires and does all that other fancy stuff cars shouldn't do. I don't think our problem is really the same though...you're idle is too high, right? Mine is to the point where it stalls a lot.
Also, I got the new Missing Link today (Finally), but didn't have time to put it on. I just want to know how my other one broke...apparently it was installed correctly (at first I thought otherwise). So I might mess with that tomorrow after work...I will know my fault codes by then I think.
And one more thing...there was a charge pipe that wasnt connected properly...and there was some oil in it. Could my turbo be leaking oil through the compressor housing? There was no difference after fixing the charge pipe.

Re:No boost
I know. But the engine misfires when there is boost. Therefore, I can't boost. If the wastegate was permanently closed, I'd be boosting a lot. If it were permanently open, I'd have no boost, and have a lot of exhaust noise out front. So I don't think it's the wastegate...but there really isn't a way to check yet.

Re:No boost
Alrighty, I had Autozone do their stuff, they checked the fault codes. I was throwing a couple, but nothing about misfiring...so I guess the engine is flooding that much? Anyway, it says my MAP sensor isn't doin' its job (duh), and also the front O2 sensor is screwed...so I got a new one. I'll install it tomorrow when I have the day off...also gonna fix my massive exhaust leaks and re-weld the downpipe.
So the MAP sensor and O2 sensor would be the culprit for a bad idle and super rich fuel? I'm installing the new Missing Link tomorrow as well...hopefully the MAP sensor is just getting a bad reading and isn't fried.

Re:No boost
I've got boost now! Put in a new O2 sensor and Missing Link...and everything works now. Yay. The weird part is that the A/F gauge is showing rich during boost...but we took out the FMU. It's all stock fuel in there. Is an FMU even needed with low boost (6.5 psi)?
