No boost

My car still has idle problems, leaking exhaust, and seems to run rich...but this one is new. I used to be able to bring this into boost normally...however, now suddenly anytime I try boosting, the car goes nuts. If the boost gauge is showing close to 0, the needle starts jumpin' around and everything goes bad...like the engine is flooding. It backfires a lot too.
My car still has the same problems as before (and I'm STILL waiting for new missing link to arrive), but suddenly I have no boost. Any help is appreciated.

Possible wastegate problem, or charge pipe leak. How is your timing? did you do any adjustments to that?

it chould be that ur missing a missing link ( if ya dont have one) all u said is ur waiting for one, but if your ecu detects more boost then its aloud ur ecu will go nuts,

Re:No boost

try checking all of your vacuum lines, it sounds stupid but if there are any vacuum leaks that could be your problem

would a leaking charge pipe cause a vacuum leak???? (sorry for the stupid question just trying to fix my problem. same as his).

Re:No boost

no, a leaking charge pipe would not cause a vacuum leak since there is no vacuum in a charge pipe

Re:No boost

I have a missing link in there...but it's broken. So it's rather useless. I have an Accord, and I've heard that the MAP sensor itself can physically handle up to 11psi, but the ecu is set to read nothing more than 1psi...so if it reads anything over 1, the computer goes retarded. Even so, I was able to bring it to 6.5 psi everytime...but now I suddenly can't go past 0.

The wastegate was working fine since this happened...but right now I can't tell since I can't boost.

I figured a leaking charge pipe would just make it so I can't receive boost, and treat it like I'm driving a N/A engine. Well, that's sort of what's happening...however, the engine seems to flood when it sees anything past 0 now. Maybe the FMU went bad?

Also, I checked the vac lines...they seem fine from what I can tell.

I have not adjusted the timing...I was going to wait until I got the new missing link before I tried anything like that. But the Link has been broken the whole time...so I'm thinking the no boost thing might not be related, since it just happened.

Ok, just drove this thing with my friend, and he's saying that the engine is misfiring after 0psi. That's why it's goin' nuts. So the computer is advancing the hell out of the timing. I guess this would be MAP sensor related, right? The broken Missing Link is still on there.

One thing I haven't mentioned is that I don't have an intercooler installed for this yet...it's hot air blowin' in. Would this affect the computer as well? Or anything else?

first off if the missing link is broken I would take it out and use check valves for now until you get ur missing link! See if that helps.

This sounds like a wastegate probelm. Either the wastegate is bad or the lines have problems. check ALL lines and make sure nothing came loose or is kinked. What kind of wastegate, turbo, etc...
