Default Nice setup

Ok this probably has been asked but alot of topics come up when I put in my engine code. So I'll just ask here for myself. I currently have the stock VX motor in and I want to boost it before I take off to Iraq. Can someone compile a shopping list of things I need to get and things I should do before before and after boosting? Also my wife most likely will be driving this car while I'm out defending freedom and all that happy horse ---- so I need to also know what kind of preventive measures and maintenance should be done while I'm gone. Remember I'm military so I can only comprehend things step by step.

Thanks

Yes this question has been asked more than a dozen times. I personally can't give you a list b/c i don't know how much hp you expect to achieve from a hmt kit. Don't worry there will be others asking you questions and having comments so be prepared. My advice is to look at the FaQ section and read everything you can and make sure you comprend what you read. If your unsure with something then ask a question. So is your wife going to change the oil for you? An let her help you install the kit an you probly should let her log on this site just in case she needs help. Be safe in Iraq. Sorry to hear that you gotta go.

Thanks. Yeah she'll be around when the install goes down. I'm not looking for much. I heard that the T25 were small but I also read that they fun to drive. That's all I'm really looking for. Nothing big until I come back. Just some acceleration when I hit I-5. Thanks for your input though.

There really isn't someone who can direct feed you all the info.

If you know you're going to be awawy for a while and not enjoy the car then wait out on this big project. Will your wife know what to do if your oil return line gets plugged?

My best advice is to wait it out, then consider swapping into a more fitting D series motor. We will still be around and you will have some time to make some hard earned decisions.

Sounds good too. Plust I think I'd just change the whole setup when I came back anyway. So I'll just wait until I come back from the desert.

If your wife will be driving it...leave it like it is.
There could always be something that could go wrong and if you're not there...who will fix it?
