Newbie, Turbo Setup specs

Re: Newbie, Turbo Setup specs
DMC1- The ECU setup is actually rather simple at this stage. Just get a 3.1/2.8 Memcal (blue little chip thingy) and I can get you an address to mail it to. $40 plus shipping to have it boost ready, and this includes the 5 speed hack. A stock TGP (turbo) chip will work fine, but the boost cutout is at 9.5psi, and it isn't as stickshift friendly for some reason. TGP Chip may be hard to find, because I believe they made 2,000 total of the Pontiac Gran Prix turbo cars in 89-90.
jeffescortlx- Good old GM shoved the intercooled, turbo 3.1L V6 into a run of 89-90 Pontiac Gran Prix Mclarens. The motor made 205 at a minimal boost (4-5) setting, and the intercooler was much to small for the car. I am hoping to see about 240-250 to the front wheels on the t25. Really looking for a cheapo t3 or hybrid turbo, just so I don't have to recut my crossover pipe. But the 3.1 Turbo is a Vin V 60* V6, didn't make too many, and a lot of people outside the GM small car scene don't know too much about them.

dmc1- No problem, I'll pm you the guy's email. He is in Canada though, but a ton of people over here have gotten his chips. They work amazing.
RJwaggs- The SSR was doomed from the start. Underpowered, not really good at either job it was supposed to do, ugly retro-ness, etc. GM needs to get a new F body in production to survive at this point.
