Regular running wise, the fmu setup works very well. Idles like a stocker. Really smooth application of power.
But......
I don't know how safe the tune is with that fmu. Once this motor/turbo setup is done and broken in it is going to the dyno with a wideband. No way am I going to toast this new motor because of a cut rate fuel system. I don't really like the way the fmu responded so far but I still want to mess with it. When you start into boost, the fuel pressure would not change much and then all of a sudden it would spike up. I would much rather see a more linear response.

dont the gt40 heads raise the compression

The pistons are not stock either. The combo of the GT40P heads and these pistons is supposed to yield about 9.2:1 compression. So it is higher but not out of sight. The alternative with the dished probe pistons was like 8:1 or even lower (I forget exactly). Given the limitations of these turbos, 12 psi is what I calculate to be the max boost I can practically run and still be efficient so having the higher compression pistons seems to me to be a better idea. Hope I'm right.

You are limited in a forced induction application by your compressor - static CR does nothing for you.
