Default new to HMT "56k get a snack"

Hello all.
just wanted to say hello to everyone.
this is an awesome board, lots of info.

a bit about myself.
my name is chris i am from hamilton ontario, me and my brother jakob are on Red Pepper Racing a lot. we own three 1st gen crxs. we have one that has a carb zc soon to be dual weber carbed.
and our other project. the black si with a 89 dohc zc turbo. we are just peacing the turbo together.
here are some pics. the questions will be after the pics.
i know the ssautochrome will crack, but if it does ill just buy another one, or upgrade. we are bracing the turbo
and are praying it will hold up to the heat..

here are the pics of our home made turbo project.

the set up...
t3 turbo
ssshitcrome mani
hks blow off valve
safc old school **** style
msd 6btm
we want to run 5psi. hopefully that's the spring in the wastegate. eeep.

the questions. does anyone here have a side mount intercooler for sale that lives in the GTA?

also does anyone know what car i should look in for the down pipe flange.. i got one off a saab 900 and it doesn't fit properaly, looked like it would, but the wholes for the bolts are a bit further out.

thanks.. coments welcome.

proud to be a part of the Homemadeturbo comunity

Is that one of those homemade home depot front bumpers that everyone is talking about on H-T

Setup looks pretty decent, Bet she rips good in a 1g rex.

2 months.. that's how long it took me to find that flange. This isn't any casual web surfing either. I'm talking serious searches on every turbo site you can think of. Wanna know where I finally found one? Take a guess.. it's beautiful irony..

HMT.. right under my nose. BMC Racing hooked me up. This one supposedly was used, but he refinished it and other than a couple tiny bits of slag splatter, it's just like new. I paid $14 shipped for this beautiful piece of metal.

PS, since you're in Toronto I'm only going to assume you're going to be at the Niagara crx meet right? It's only about an hour or so away. I'm in Buffalo so it's about an hour for me too depending on bridge traffic..

Unfortunately, I don't think I'll have the turbo on by then, but I'll be there just like I have for the last 2 years. I'm uber poor right now since I just bought a 150K house. I'm waiting for the guy across the street to get a welder so I can make my manifold and downpipe still..

What CC injectors are you using?

I have the same SAFC that you're using, but not sure what CC injectors to use.

we are using the stock injectors right now. but i think that we will have to upgrade. i think we would have trouble using the 450cc dsm injectors because of the old school safc we have. so 330cc if they exist, will probably be the next upgrade.

the greddy kit uses the stock injectors, for 5 psi, so i think we will be fine for now.

That flange is on Ebay everyday. I found it by mistake last month. You should have posted that you needed.

I had a robot program I made auto search ebay every day multiple times for about 2 months using the best set of regex search criteria I could think of and while there were SS 3 bolt flanges for like $30, they didn't match the specs on this one. Nor did any of the others. The bolt holes are 80mm apart and the middle hole is 65mm in diameter. I got my flange a couple weeks ago, so I've since stopped looking on ebay for one.

If your concerned about the SSautoCrap manifold, you should get with BMC racing. Everyone recommends him for a reason, he's the "flange man". He also makes dirt cheap manifolds.
