Does anyone know if the WRX manifold and up pipe will fit the 2.5 RS from 97-00? I have to turbo my neighbors car and this swap would be easier. It looks like it would work. Hell I would even make the Up pipe if need be. Thanks for the help. I tried some Subby sites but I can't work the search for ----.

i dont believe so, i dont think alot of the 2.0 and 2.5 stuff is interchangeable but i may be wrong

Actually I just looked over the 2.5 RS exhaust and I can just make an Up pipe from his stock manifold. Thanks for the response.

Dave I asked my brother who owns a 2000 2.5 RS and frequents the Suby boards alot. He said he beleives it will fit but isn't 100% sure. If it's a 98 he said to check the compression and keep the boost low unless your running a standalone engine management.
I hooked his car up to my LM1 a while back because he went the NOS route and he said even running a piggyback controler like an AFC, the Subaru ecu's will learn to adapt and adjust around the controler. I take it they are a bit more strict than a Honda ecu :P

edit< Actually I asked about the ecu situation and depending on what year the car is it might be alright to run a piggyback. I asked if they will re-learn an add on fuel controler and here's his reply: "not the 98-99 they were maf based on whats called a phase 1 engine. 00-01 was map based on a phase 2 engine and the real late 99s were even running on the phase 2?

Yeah this car is MAF. I think its just going to be an FMU and BTM. 5 psi max. I have to see what this guy is willing to spend.
