do mpfi, its not hard. dpfi is a waste of time, i dont think boosting it with a fmu would work well since it only has 2 injectors

ssl2k - im not sure what kind of power i was making. it was non-intercooled also. here are some pics-

it was pretty quick at 12 psi. that was probably like 150-160whp. it was really fun to ---- with people in a rusty old civic. it had a quiet exhaust for a while also which added to the sleeper effect i say boost the DPFI

bovs and mbc dont have anything in common. a blow off valve opens up when the throttle is closed so that the pressure can get out of the pipes. if you dont have a blow off valve, the pressure backs up into the turbo and screws ur turbo up, its called compressor surge.

a manual boost controller goes inline on your vacuum hose from the wastegate to the compressor housing and ups the boost. hope that helps.

yea that helps alot. again, im learning more as i go along, so this is great.

So a BOV will mount right on the intake tube that is coming from the turbo/going to the intake? and if i didnt have a manual boost controller, what psi would be default? Ive seen them on ebay fairly cheap anyways.

you wont need a mbc unless you want to crank up the boost.

what is "stock" psi is whatever the wastegate is set at. anywhere from like 5.5 to 8psi is normal

yeah the bov will mount on the charge piping. the stock psi the wastegate is set at depends on what kind of turbo u have.

alright. well its just that I cant really be going over 8psi..prolly around 6 is a much safer number. and if i need to lower teh boost how can i do it? Ive read that MBC's are only really good for raising boost, so how would i lower boost?

you could use the carb spring method ^^, or you could lengthen the actuator arm, or just buy a new wastegate with a lower psi setting. im out for tonite ill check back in the morning
