bump for an answer because i think my turbo is goin out

 

bump, figured on pistons for my build, going with Vitaras for now to help my wallet a bit since im not shooting for over 350HP

anyone got an answer on my turbo question?

 

you'll definately need a "laggy" (by your sense) turbo to get you to your goal. If you think a 60/63 is too laggy, I dont think your gonna like having 300+ hp. btw, vitaras ROCK!!

 

starting to spool at 4.5K is very laggy compared to my 3K fully spooled time now, if i could at least start spooling by 3K or so i'd be happy

my question though was would a turbo with an AR similar to the one in the link suit my needs, giveing me a decent spool and enough power to at least get close to my goals?

 

a 48/60 *might* get you close, but i cant say for sure. Port The ---- out of your head, my ports look like mirrors and im seeing 5 or so psi by 3k. (on a 60/63)

 

whats up man ... we are actually doing the same thing in the black car you saw ... (the one we drove to meet up with) have tt rods je 9:1 c/r pistons stock sleeves drag mani, tial w/g, cca fmic, 2.5 inch ic piping, and crome pro there is a good shop in ohmaha that tunes crome and crome pro so thats where my roomate is taking his, the sc61 shouldnt be to laggy due to a 50 shot of nitrous to help spool the turbo .... if i were you id go with one of these http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/T3-Su...QQcmdZViewItem
maybe a bigger trim but the smaller exhaust housing will help it spool quick and the bigger charge side will deff hold till redline
