True, but the staged pcms are a bit more aggresive on the timing side, and the high octaine mode is dope too

 

Yeah, try to pull the AFC trick on one of the stage ECUs, they're great. That's why, running the same stock turbo, the stage-less cars run just as strong or stronger.

High octane mode is pointless, for a given airmass you don't make more power by swapping to differently rated iso-octane based fuel.

I may not have made my name with Dodges, but I'm not new to this and people bring these things to me for tuning.

My buddy is running ~26psi with a full return line, 3" DP, SAFC, and a map clamp and still can maintain a 11.0 AFR. I remember him running about 19psi with no fuel mods. Those stock turbos run out of air though and seem to drop boost.

 

The weak point in the srt4 isnt the engine (which may as well be chiseled from a solid chunk of granite) its the merc. transmission that was designed for a diesel, and is forced to shift at engine speeds twice as high as it was originally intended.

SRT4's are the new dsm lol.

 

my brotheinlaws took a beating like no other untill a front tire blew out and it ended up in a tree It only had 100 miles on a new/bigger turbo we just put in.

At 18psi it did a pretty good job. On street tires, stock turbo, no cat, 3" exh. and a upgraded wg, it ran 13.2 @ 110 mph. 2.3 60ft... lol

 

One of the guys in our car club has an 400hp srt-4 running at 18psi off a monster 50trim with a .87 exhaust housing. He had to upgrade injectors/pump/fuel rail but he's still hitting a lean spot due to the shitty returnless style fuel system...it tends to cavitate the rail after a few seconds. A return style fuel system with a fpr and upgraded line sizes would be a worthwhile investment into any srt-4 IMO.
