More pictures of the Ranger are available here.

Mods on the ranger:
- 2.3T swapped from my '86 XR4Ti parts car
- 40bob.com flipped-style Ranger log manifold
- Holset HY35W
- Volvo 740 intercooler
- big loud ricer BOV from ebay
- Explorer 4.0 radiator (w/o any fans )
- SSautocrap 35/38mm wastegate
- boostvalve.com boost controller
- 3" exhaust with a magnaflow can (all piping scrounged from the exhaust shop dumpster )
- T5 trans from a TurboCoupe
- Megasquirt V2.2 for fueling (also controls the TFI ignition)

But ya, I'm trying to talk Mike actually into to turboing his 2.3l Ford Ranger, and I saw those pics and got a mild stiffy, especially with the fatty holset on there, Probably a bit laggy eh?
Yah, the Holset is kinda laggy on the Ranger. It used to have a stock T3, but then ******** Nick (the owner) was trying to clock teh compressor housing and dropped it on the wheel... so we ended up putting a smaller wheel and housing on it from a 2.2 or 2.5L turbododge - that thing spooled really nice... wheelspin in 3rd gear (and this is not a wrong-wheel-drive vehicle...) but we determined it was just a tad inneficient at 18 psi, so on went the Holset. Nick's plan is to tow some trailers and stuff with this, so the big compressor is definitely going to help - he won't just be spooling constantly and blowing hot air.

Oh yeah... as for that radiator... the Saab 900 one is almost a bolt-in affair and it's shorter, so there's room to run IC pipes over the top:

I bought this radiator brand new on eghay for $75.

Fits really nice behind the NPR intercooler...

Whoa, who's your friend? Hal, Mike Lough, Stackz, etc? My 16V conversion *should* be running in a few weeks.

I should really stop hijacking threads...

Ahh, cool. It's going to be a pretty interesting year or two for the 2.3 community... there should be 5-10 16V conversions running soon, unless everyone is all talk. :1
