Default My turbo and intercooler

Hello. I am Bozo from Croatia and I am almos every day on the www.hmt.com
I am planing to install d.y.s. turbo kit on my d15z6 civic.
I hawe turbo kkk from audi 1.8T 180hp and intercooler form a small Mercedes truck
Any info on this turbo and intercooler.
Intercooler is 78cm long, 28cm wide and 4cm thick. Is that restrictive or is it good for thi setup
I am planing to go with bigger injectors and Dastek unichip because ewery thing else is nonexistant here.

Any advice on other things

Don't know ---- about the turbo but the core probably flows a hell of a lot better than those sidemounts on the 1.8t.

I hope that the intercooler will not be to restrictive. Is it beter for the intercooler to be thin or thick when it is this big?

so far looks good, I wouldnt worry so much how the intercooler flows, as opposed to how large it is. May be a bit tricky installing it. Most stock Intercoolers are going to work just fine for DIY homemadeturbo backyard setups.

Good luck, and I think your our first Croatia member

what i wanna kno is how you found out about our site lol. were beyond nation wide. were global wide. usually with large intercoolers you get a slight PSI drop but i doubt you'll see to much in yours. like jeff said the tricky part is mounting it so you can still run the intercooler piping. goodluck and welcome to HMT

I do not remember but i know i was surfing for tips about turbo setups and when i find hmt.com i imediatley made it my favorite. I think it was in the begining of the 2005. Thech projects and turbo projects are the best. This is what i call tuning probably because you do the same thing we do here(race cars from dads garage). 600$ month salary, crx 89 costs here about 3000$, there is no junkyards with hondas just Yugos and Italian Fiats. So you just go and make a HMT setup. Yea right.
I was lucky for some parts becauseI know people and where to find stuf cheap.

The intercooler is wery big and i will have a lot of cuting in the front of my car and probably hawe to make a new bumper. Can I use rubber piping for intake?

I had some turbos and my old setup on ebay and I sold one turbo to a guy in England for a HMT setup and had a shitload of interest on shipping the complete kit over to various countries in Europe.I can't believe how big the HMT trend has grown. There is guys here from -Netherlands,Engalnd,Russia,Germany,Crotia,Portugal ,Spain and I think a couple from South America as well.Absouletly awesome.
