This is what I have been working on for the past six weeks or so. This is for my 89 Supra BTW. I have a bunch of other mods including a custom 3" turbo back exhaust, a Blitz turbo, and supporting stuff.

The total pipe length is 84", turbo to IC and IC to TB, a foot longer than 'short' FFI pipes. All the pipes are 2.5" aluminum, and they weigh a grand total of 4 lb. Including the bends welded onto the intercooler, this system only has 360 degrees worth of bend. The intercooler is an 18"x6"x3", its almost identical to the spearco stock replacement.







I custom machined a nipple for the ISC air, and the BOV mounts under the pipes. The PS resevoir needs to be relocated, and the snorkel hole and the hole near the headlight motor had to be enlarged. Also the plastic fairing on the headlight needs to be trimmed.





To be installed this weekend. Ill grind the welds flat and polish whenever I am bored. I also need to cut the silicone couplers to length.

I got the pre bent mandrels from www.globaltecheng.com . They had the best prices I could find and the quality was good.

My supra also has a full exhaust, safc, wideband, greddy type s, MBC, K&N FIPK, Blitz turbo upgrade, and some other bits and pieces. Good for 300rwhp, need fuel now. Theres some pics on cardomain.

I got everything in the car saturday, it fits perfect. It added a tonne of torque, didnt notice the top end change yet becuase I didnt go past 4psi. My Blitz turbo needs a rebuild.

 

Here everything is installed. I can make 4 psi at 1500 rpm and 8 at 200 rpm with this turbo and IC setup. Plus the turbo is good to about 400 rwhp (thats pushing it though).
