people do share there .bin's, maybe not so much in the forced induction section of homemadeturbo, but have you ever been on the uberdata forums? people don't hate it when you ask them to post there .bin, people hate it when noobs say "hey, could you make a basemap for me", or "can i have you .bin, how do i use it, will it work the same for me" and other newbish ----. i've never seen anyone not give out a .bin if someone asked for it.

I dunno if he is on the Ubersite or not. I haven't seen the name phresh come up anywhere there. Either way, if I was in a small town and there were others with a similar setup using Uberdata. I wouldn't give out my .bin's either. IMO the money you pay for the friggin wideband to tune it yourself justifies my opinion.

Nice numbers though. I have an identical setup except I'm going to be using a Tubular Bullhorn style manifold and I have 265xxxkms on my motor.

I would post my bin for anyone who asks. That my opinion. I have done engine swaps for free. My computer is full with Uber and TE bins. I tune peoples car and all I make them pay for is the o2 sensor bung that I weld into there dp/header.

I don't think we could ban him for this but I still think he's a punk!

BTW: I'm Canadian and I'm Disgrassed by this.

i dont use uberdata, im just saying most people dont give out their .bin's ever, they would rather have people buy them. ask xenocron he doesnt just GIVE out his info and time he put into them for someone to just reburn and distibute.

I never said I put my "magic bin" in ppls cars and charge them for it. I start them with a basemap and tune there cars from scratch. It takes me about a day for each car. Sure the programs free, but I don't charge for the program. I charge for my time to chip their ecu's and tune their cars for hours. Dyno tuned maps are only tuned for WOT, which isn't really that hard. The hard part is tuning for daily driving + gas milage and still being able to go full throttle.

Here's a link on the uberdata forum about a Tuner Directory.
http://www.ecimulti.org/uberdata/for...;threadid=1281
Do you really think these ppl are gonna spend the time to tune your cars with the expensive equipment they've bought specifically for tuning for free?

That was pretty much the same quote he gave me too. I mean ---- I just asked him how he tuned it and he kind of came off as an arrogant individual stating that he spent "COUNTLESS" hours (BS! I took less that 20 runs back and forth on the road to tune my AFR to 12.0 across the board) Thats all fine and dandy and shiet but I just hope that individual realizes that he should be sharing part of his profit to the guy aka BLAKE who is sitting in his room programming uberdata and making all of these updates to uberdata. I just think its completely unfair for someone to take someone or a group of individuals idea/work and use it for their own profit. I guess in a sense his profit is justified by the fact that he did tune those cars, but its not like he invented the damn program nor even wrote those bin's himself.

Just my take on the situation, but whatever. I have a b16 so I can give a shiet about a d16 map. I'm just trying to play devil's advocate and justify the few things that are still right in this world.

Share the bin ****. I know you didn't learn about turbo's and cars by inventing the turbo.
