FYI I recall an article about some Chicago SC300 turbo, silver too. The guy was at 450whp IIRC, and was rebuilding another stocker to take past 750whp. All he was altering was the HG thickness and shot-peening the stock rods. He said the current record for the non-turbo motor was about 700whp...

Still that motor at 7psi with a T67 is probably over 400whp, 500+ with perfect tuning. Nice work

Awesome, love the restoration. That car was really beat when you got it. Under the hood looks amazing. Got any videos of it yet? I want to see it rip.

How much boost are you running? I have heard of guys running the SAFCII on the IS but supposedly you gota reset the ecu everytime so it wont "learn" and lean you out. Some dudes run a fuel only unit so the ecu won't trim fuel overtime. (haltech F10x, megasquirt, ect.) I am told that up to about 15 psi, the ecu timming map is sufficeint, although I would only run 7psi on stock timing for saftey. 7psi though will "turn ya out"

Those wheels are fucken wicked, love the deep dish look.

I'm running 7psi. For you IS300 guys interested in doing a setup check out clubna-t.com i know there are one or two guys on there who went turbo. They did talk about resetting the ECU since they are OBD-II but I think one of them went standalone.

going to have some vids soon. Still taking care of a few small details. We just finished replacing the tranny solenoids a few days ago. took my mufflers off the other day and it sounded great. Not overly loud but deep and mellow.

Here a vid of what it sounds like: Its basically the stock exhaust with 2 stock resonators and 1 cat. All i did was pull the mufflers.

sounds pretty beastly. which is sad considering all you did was pull the mufflers. you gotta get it al finished and take it and run a quarter.

Yea i'm itching to take it to the track especially since I kept the stock compression ratio. Just waiting on the meth kit before I do my final tune and head out to the track.
