I tuned the Blaast car. First time we went out the oil restrictor was too small so it burned the bushings. Didn`t seem to spool so well. In about an our we had the turbo off and apart. He rebuilt it and balanced the centre section and the turbine side was still hot by the time it was being re-assembled! There is a guy who can build a turbo!

The car came on to boost very solidyly around 3500. Pulled very well into the 22PSI range. I was afraid to crank the boost too much based on the fact it was only pump gas. I drove it a few times after the tune as well. Behaved very nicely as a big turbo H22 car. You could still live with the lag and it pulled like mad all the way to redline.

cool turbo man.. i just got my turbo (a custom T3 unit) so i totally understand your excitement..

i just dont get why people think that everyone should have a turbo that doesnt get full boost till 5k... not flaming you guys who think that way.. i just dont understand.. each person has his own ideas how he wants his car to respond..

i chose my turbo based on how far i plan on revving, the type of driving i'm doing, and fun factor.
i'm running a stock LS motor, revving to 6500 max.. so i chose a T3 .48 turbine so i get super quick spool.. this is my daily driver and i'm not going to do much drag racing on it.. maybe a couple times just to see what it'll do but i'm building this for fun.. not a full on drag car.. it has an AirResearch T3 .60 compressor housing and a T04B M-Trim compressor wheel machined to fit as well as machining on the housing.. Charlie at Evergreen Turbo who built it for me says it flows enough at 14psi to do 300 whp. we'll see.. i'll be running at about 10 psi for a while.. anyway, point is, there is a huge variety of goals for a turbo setup.. to each his own!

Same with me...put a 16g on my stock ls. All I wanted was to pull it to 6500, and tell ya what...only at 10 psi right now, but it spools up around 3700 and hits the full 10 right around 4500. I was so happy with how it ran i had to take the car out and waste a mustang
