i experimented with a custom build and had bad luck. it was a 300zx twin turbo piston/ford 331 V8 rod combo that I came up with. I had to bore the block .120" over and it wound up overheating. i took it out and went back to a stock motor.

theyre easy to come by and if i get 20k+ miles of abuse out of them like the last one and this one, thats cool by me. Im running E85 to hit boost now and I think I should get a lot more life out of them now. its good stuff!

My girlfriend just bought an MX3 I laughed at first then drove the car and now I'm in love. Escort shocks with Eibach springs. this thing handles like a dream.

haha yeah im still on stock suspension. i hope she got a 94+. that interior owns. i wasnt a big fan of this car either until the first time i got to drive it and i had just finished the 2.5 swap. ive owned it for 3 years now, and the two cars i was playing with before this was turbo mazda mx6 gt's. These cars are put together so much better. it's very reliable for what it is too. fun to drive, handles good, has a great feel to it. the body and interior has really grown on me.

im getting some new body panels for it and then im going to drop it with some springs and struts. ive already got 17" ADR's wrapped in 225/45/17 nexxen n3000's. they still scream for traction though with 412+ ft lbs of torque! its my 3rd set of tires in the past year. i had to grind spring perches and get spacers all around and i still get rubbing with the new tires. damn fwd. im going back to 215/45/17 next time around.

Little background...

Built a turbokit a while back (check out www.cardomain.com/id/rebel2k4) using a stock t3/t04b off a buick grand national. No intercooler, water injection, 2.2 60' turned 13.8 @ 102. Went to 550cc injectors and brought it down to a 13.05 @ 109.5

Itching for more power so I threw this kit together. Using a Holset HY35 turbo off a dodge cummins, cheapie ssautochrom intercooler, mandrel turbo piping with bends from jcwhitney, all done by me. Took about 60 hours this go-round

Enjoy:
