My homemade turbo'd 1994 Mazda MX-3 V6 PICS... round 2

Well, not new to this game but new to the forum.

Little background...

Built a turbokit a while back (check out www.cardomain.com/id/rebel2k4) using a stock t3/t04b off a buick grand national. No intercooler, water injection, 2.2 60' turned 13.8 @ 102. Went to 550cc injectors and brought it down to a 13.05 @ 109.5

Itching for more power so I threw this kit together. Using a Holset HY35 turbo off a dodge cummins, cheapie ssautochrom intercooler, mandrel turbo piping with bends from jcwhitney, all done by me. Took about 60 hours this go-round

Enjoy:

Your a ------- champ! i didnt know they put v6's in the mx3. And furthermore, i didnt know they could stand up to 15psi. That thing is laying down some serious #'s. Your work is DEFINATELY approved by hmt!!! O0

Thanks for the comments guys :)

Yeah, the original motor was a 1.8L V6. I bought the car with a thrown rod. The 2.5L V6 out of the probe gts, mx6's, 626's, etc is practically a direct drop in. I threw this one in about 20k miles ago. After some serious detonation on the last turbo kit it started to smoke. I've almost got my built motor done, in the meantime I'm trying to kill this one. It just won't die!

I remember reading the projects on this site some 3-4 years ago, and to be honest thats really what got me interested in doing what I'm doing now...

So, in a way, this one goes out to homemade turbo... lol
