Default My d15b dyno sheet @9psi(need more rpm)

And some questions for the pros
1.Will a ramhorn manifold help my spool time or increase my horsepower at the same psi
2.Is it better to do a port and polish head or just turn up the boost
I would like 2 know which modification would yield more power without turning up the boost
And I noticed i got a boost spike to 12psi and it felt like a speeding bullet compared to the 9 psi
I wonder if the boost is too low for such a large turbo?

that turbo is way too big for your motor. you need a medium sized t3 at the most a super 60. definately not that holset. its most likely surging and under the efficiency range, either turn up the boost or get a smaller turbo.

I'd say for 9lbs, you're right where you should be. That's pretty good power for a 1.5L But that's still way to big...get a 48/60 and run it at 9lbs. I bet you get better results

You dont need a smaller turbo, you just need a bigger motor

Is your waste gate dumping right in the engine bay?
What's with that larger flexile hose under the charge pipe?

Well done, nice stuff.

first off nice car. and clean set-up. to answer your questions...

1. Yes a nice manifold like a ramhorn will help the turbo spool up faster due to smooth equal length runners and collector. and it will also make more power on an identical set-up and boost level than a different manifold.

2. if your motors built to take more boost throw it at it... however when ever you do things like a Port and Polish.. Cams.. Cam gears.. etc. etc. you make the motor more efficient. Which means you make more power at the exact same Boost level. Hope this helps out a little.

i had one of these motors once and chiped the ecu and reved it to 8k everyday for a year till i sold it. you just need to chip the ecu and rev it to 7500 just to give you a little more time to stay in gear. i say great turbo and great motor good luck
