My 90 crx turbo (Progress pics on last page)
 

Well I'll start with my car. It was a 90 crx si with a d16a6 motor. When I bought it, it was on its way to a junk yard. It ran but looked really bad.

I fixed the looks and then swapped the A6 motor out with a D16Z6 motor out of a De Sol. Then decided to boost it just for fun.

The kit I built uses
HF crx manifold
Ebay HF to TD05 adapter
TD05 14B with stock 7psi wastegate
TD05 open dump tube
custom built down pipe
Knock off greaddy BOV
Ebay intercooler kit
DSM 450cc injectors
ECU chipped with chrome pro running on a turbo base map
2 1/4" exhaust with a 2' summit racing glass pack muffler and a Flowmaster axle back muffler.
AEM wideband o2 gauge
2 autometer oil pressure gauges Electric in car and manual under the hood)
autometer boost gauge

First setup had over heating issues with the 1/2 size radiator.

Car is going in for tuning in a few weeks I hope. But power isn't that big of a deal because untuned the car is fast enough for me.

I will be getting her tuned vary soon. I just have the turbo base map on there to get her started and easy test runs. I just bought a trailer a few weeks ago just to tow her to a tuner.

The lips from a MK3 VW bought it off ebay for $40 and I cut 1" out of it.

Don't know yet I haven't got the ecu set up for it yet.

Yea I was running the 1/2 size and wasn't liking the lean or the fact it was overheating. I changed the entire setup just to be able to put the full size one back in.

damn, you saved that crx's life and your intro post is almost what it should be. its only lacking the porn. since you saved the crx the porn isnt as important, but i would still look into it

It must have been embarrassing to drive that home and have it sit in your driveway. I hope you had a garage.

How long did the ss autoshit manifold last you before you decided to go std/hf?

No garage but I live way off the road so no problem. I drove it for 2 months like it was then made the mistake of buying another body kit and painted it flat black. Shortly after that I took it off and installed stock bumpers and stock side skirts. Then got rid of the loud raspy exhaust and way to big wheels that I had left over from my last car.

Shortly after this pic I got stock headlights and the GSR fat-5s.


The ss manifold stayed on there for 4 weeks and is still in working condition but I forgot to clean it befor it got hot so it looks like crap.

I copied it from a member on importatlatna.com so go for it. Only down fall to it they break really easy but a little bit of superglue and its good.



Well found out while running to the store my radiators got a huge crack in it. >:( Its a good thing I have another one but the plastic plug is striped and there not the same between the radiators I have. New plug will be here Wednesday.

Its abs I think I do know its some kind of plastic but its not vary flexible.


The window visors are for a 88 hatchback I believe. I had to cut and heat them to make them fit on my rex. Look good for $40 and they work a hell of a lot better that the JDM ones that cost $200+/-.

Finally found a new radiator for a good price and will be picking it up tomarrow. Also today I bought some wheels for my crx. I payed $50

yep that what the lip is.

I got her running today. Boost is not coming up due to the wastegate not closing all the way (got to work on that tomorrow)

Its a stock front bumper with a MK3 VW lip mounted on it.

There just set up beside the fat-5s and yes the tires have paint on them there being replaces. These are temps untill I can get tires for my meshs.

Yes I painted them flat black and also painted the red si flat black.

Dude the wheels are GAY! I would pain those things so ------- fast. Nothing says im a attention ----- more than those wheels. Your build was looking great untill you put the wheels on.

Because I have to sell the 15" fat-5s to buy the tires for the 14" mesh wheels. The tires on the 15" steelies are the tires that were on the fat-5s. But I might be selling the 14" mesh wheels also and then I'll get a nice set of 15" not stock wheels.
