Did you have to reduce the size of the crank end of the rods to fit them down the bores? I bought a set of ebay rods and they are too large and need to be filed, and probably need to be re-balanced.

 

What you mean block notching? I should be posting up a quick video guide soon as promised.

 

I saw the thread you made notching the block with the engine still in the car. Thats the first time Ive seen that, but thats not what Im saying, you probably didnt have the problem Im having. With my ebay rods, the big end (or the crank end) of the rods is so large that it does not fit into the bore. The rod itself needs to be ground down to minimize its width.
Anyhow I was looking for the pics of you notching your block with no avail, do you think you can provide a link?

 

Wow thats pretty nuts. My boys over in china are new with rods, hence the problem. but yeah your cdm rods are good for 1000hp easy. Take them to a shop and see what they can do.

 

I remember several people having that issue. You just need to file/sand the corners a tad. Barely anything.
