Ive been a member for 2 years on here and have over 10 days of login time but I never really had a newb post, since I starting using this site mostly for the classifieds section, but now its really the only forum I go to for information anymore.

I want to start by saying thanks to everyone on here for answering some of my dumb questions and for all the amazing information on this site. A very special thanks to philStubbs/Scott/Evens Performance for teaching me pretty much everything I know as far as working on hondas.

I'll give you a brief history of all my previous setups. About a year an a half ago I put my first turbo setup together which was basically a used greddy/homemade setup that let me keep all the little luxuries like a/c and p/s. The car was fun but I always wanted something a little more serious. Well, after about 6 months of boost, much like other stock turbo motors, my ringlands took a dump. No worries, just an excuse to build the motor. Heres some pics of the old setup.

Heres some carnage pics. Piston #3 was the one that took the dump. Ringland crumbs suck.

You can see at the top where the damage was done.

Now for the new goodies. Tuner toys H-beams and SRP 81.25mm 9.0:1cr pistons.

Pretty much ready to go back in the bay.

After selling the greddy setup to afford the motor rebuild I was pretty much completely out of money, so I opted for the ghetto HMT topmount. $40 ebay header and some other random piping we had laying around and came up with this setup. The turbo cost me $200 and with everything else I had left over from the old setup, I probably had $300 total into this whole new setup. I had quite a few leaks with this manifold so spool time was pretty poor but for the price of everything this was a pretty good setup while I had it.

My most recent setup is much more solid and clean. I just put a new set of tuner toys 660cc injectors in and will hopefully be upping the boost to 13-14psi soon and maybe 280ish whp. I'll give you the rundown on the most current list of parts in the setup Im running now.

Blaast rebuilt Greddy t3/t04b .48/.60
CDM (Evens Performance) cast manifold
Tial 35mm wastegate
3"turbo back full mild/aluminized steel exhaust made by me and Scott
Airplane oil lines
random greddy/pieced together charge pipes
CDM (Evans Performance) type-s bov (not pictured)
CXRacing (ebay) 28"x9"x3" intercooler
Tuner toys 660cc injectors
p28 chipped with crome
ACT 6 puck unsprung disc with a heavy duty pressure plate
No a/c or p/s
About 25 zip ties, maybe 5 feet worth of duct tape in various places and of course, some jb weld

currently running 3 psi :3 on a basemap but will be doing some street tuning in a week or so. Heres some pics of how it sits now. Only difference is I have a fake type-s instead of the real one in the pics and a new 14" Evans Performance slim fan.

I'll get some more pics of things next week when I get my camera back and possibly a ripper vid or two once we get it tuned a little.

Its sitting in Scotts garage. I need to get a couple pics of that thing. Its actually pretty sweet looking. Nice 180* whitey bends in it.

crp? compression ratio? 9.0:1. I guess I should probably have been a little more clear about whats in the engine itself.

SRP 81.25mm 9.0:1 pistons
Tuner Toys h-beam rods
ACL bearings
OEM mls headgasket
ARP headstuds
Bone stock head

I made this thread really late at night so if your wondering about anything else just ask. Im sure Im forgetting some other things still.

cool setup were about the same. Eagle rod Wiesco piston 9.0cpr cometic hg arp's blockguard ect. only thing i would warn you about is that driver side mount hates abuse also tranny mounts owned me

Re: my 2000 si build

Drivers side mount was designed by downs syndrome monkeys. This is the second one Ive been through and its ripped clear in half. I think Im going to pick up an eg mount and make some kind of brackets for it to fit in and ek. Either that or spend a fortune on an innovative mount. Tranny mount has been fine as far as I can tell.
